Transfer Registration

Registration opened at 6:00 a.m. on November 20th, the Monday before Thanksgiving. All available bibs were taken within a few hours. The waiting list and registration transfer period for 2018 will run through Sunday, January 14th.

Update: Registration is now closed, as is the bib transfer period. No more names will be chosen off of the waiting list. We are still looking for volunteers on race day.
 

You must have a valid bib to run in the race. If you are not already registered, you may get one by having a runner who is registered but can’t run transfer their bib to you, or by signing up for our waiting list and getting chosen to receive the bib of somebody who has turned their bib back in because they can’t run.

You may sell your bib using our transfer process, however we can not be involved with any third party transactions and that will have to be handled between the registered runner and the person that is receiving the transferred bib. The bib must be successfully transferred using the below process for somebody else to take a bib.

If you are transferring your bib:

  1. Sign In to RunSignUp
  2. Go to your Profile
  3. Click My Registered Races
  4. Click Manage next to the registration that you would like to transfer to another person
  5. Click the Transfer To Another Runner menu item
  6. Fill out the form to complete the transfer.

 

If you are receiving a transferred bib:

  1. You will be emailed directions for how to claim the bib.
  2. There will be a $5 convenience fee for transferred bibs.
  3. You must register for the race before the cutoff for your transfer.
  4. Shirt orders have already been finalized and unavailable at registration, but we may have some for sale after the race.

 

For those who want to turn in their bibs w/o transferring:

  1. If you can’t run but do not have anybody to transfer to, email [email protected] and let us know that you would like to make your bib available to another runner.
  2. We will cancel your registration and the system will automatically choose somebody from the waiting list and allow them to register.
  3. That person will then have 2 days or until the end of day on the cutoff date (whichever comes first) to register.
  4. If they do not register in time, the system will automatically give somebody else an opportunity to register using the same criteria.
  5. Registrants will be charged the full registration cost for the bib.
  6. Shirt orders have already been finalized and unavailable at registration, but we may have some for sale after the race.

 

For those who still want a bib:

  1. Visit our Facebook Page and see if anybody wants to transfer their bib directly to you.
  2. Sign up for our waiting list. You may be randomly chosen to receive a bib by the system.
  3. If you are chosen through the waiting list lottery, you will receive an email with registration instructions.
  4. You will then have 2 days or until the end of day on the cutoff date (whichever comes first) to register.
  5. If you do not register in time, the system will automatically give somebody else an opportunity to register using the same criteria.
  6. You will be charged the full registration cost for the bib.
  7. Shirt orders have already been finalized and are unavailable at registration, but we may have some for sale after the race.

 

General registration for the 2019 Mid-Winter Classic will be on the Monday before Thanksgiving, November 19, 2018.
