2011 Mid-Winter Classic

Mid Winter Classic Inclement Weather Announcements

All registrants of the Mid Winter Classic 10 Miler scheduled for this Sunday at 9:45am should check the race website before travelling to Cape Elizabeth for any official announcements. The only time the race will be cancelled or postponed is if the road conditions become unsafe. This could happen if there’s a storm and town plows are out on the course. If the race must be cancelled notice will be posted by 7:00am on the midwinterclassic10miler.com website and broadcast on the following radio and TV stations. An email message will also be sent to all registered athletes. If the race is cancelled please do not come to the high school. If you arrive at the high school and the race is cancelled you may not run on the roads — per police orders. If the race is cancelled on Sunday it may be postponed to another date and further notice will be given on the website.
